How we use sources
Trucker Feedback publishes original news analysis and guides for drivers. We report on public facts — court filings, regulatory announcements, carrier news — and explain what they mean for people behind the wheel.
- Original writing only. Articles are written for Trucker Feedback. We do not copy or republish third-party article text verbatim.
- Cite primary reporting. News posts name the source (e.g. Trucking Dive, FreightWaves, FMCSA) and link to the original story or document.
- Facts vs. analysis. Sourced facts stay attributed; driver-focused interpretation is Trucker Feedback's voice.
- Allegations and lawsuits. Use careful language — "alleged," "claims," "according to court filings" — unless a outcome is final and public.
- Images. We use our own graphics or properly licensed images. We do not pull photos from trade press without permission.
- Paywalled sources. We do not reproduce paywalled text. We summarize from public summaries, filings, or our own reporting notes.
Corrections
We aim to be accurate. If you spot a factual error, email legal@truckerfeedback.com with the article URL and what should be corrected. We review promptly and update the article with a note when a material correction is made.
News
- Cite original sources (trade press, FMCSA, ATA context only).
- Lead with what drivers need to know — not press-release language.
- Cover both company drivers and owner-operators when the story affects each group differently (use separate H2 sections).
- Separate news analysis from product promotion. Load Summary is mentioned only when genuinely relevant — see below.
- No fake first-person testimonials. We write as Trucker Feedback or in third person.
Guides
- Actionable, specific, and respectful of both company-driver and owner-operator realities — call out which audience each tip applies to when they differ.
- Not legal or financial advice. Documentation tips are for personal record-keeping — consult a professional for legal decisions.
- Never encourage violating employer policies or using phones while driving.
Load Summary mentions (sister product)
Trucker Feedback is editorial. Load Summary is a separate driver-paid documentation product. When a story naturally involves personal records, detention logs, or portable career history, we may include one optional tie-in — never in the headline or opening paragraph.
- Deep link to the relevant Load Summary page — not just the homepage. Examples: company drivers, owner-operators.
- Default is omit unless the story fits (bankruptcy / layoffs, detention, fraud, inspections, etc.).
- Never claim court admissibility, guaranteed outcomes, or "get higher pay." Documentation tool only.
Future facility reviews
- Focus on facility operations — wait times, parking, dock process.
- No names of individual employees.
- No accusations of crime without verified public records.
- "Tips for the next driver" tone over rage posts.
- All reviews moderated before publication.
GEO & accuracy
Articles use clear headings, dated updates, and structured data so search engines and AI systems can cite us accurately. When we update a guide, we refresh the published date in metadata.
